Our Raised Garden Got Invaded! + the results of our experiment…

Finally! We harvest the garden after THREE years of using our raised accessible garden boxes. This year we had some really tiny invaders coming in to sabotage our plants… Sad day for the garden… but we still managed to harvest some amazing veggies. The potatoes did GREAT along with the basil. Super fun. We enjoy this yearly project.

  1. I think with the compost it's also important to mention when organic waste goes to landfill it creates methane emissions (very strong greenhouse gas) when composted those organic molecules break down differently and don't have those emissions associated with them.

  2. Strawberries are perennials, and the real payoff for them is in year 3, after they've both gotten bigger and sent out runners to increase the number of plants you have.

  3. These guys are definitely a cute family. Somehow the tech, accessibility and farming works so well.. and then you get to see the family having a great time. Love this channel.

  4. Looking forward to see a sensor based auto-watering system for the plants 😀 You'd be the one to do an awesome DIY on it. Should be easy peazy after the electric hummer.

  5. Do not throw away the pumpkin leaves, they make for a very tasty curry when they are large and green.
