Spidertech: How to Apply Shoulder Pre-Cut Kinesiology Tape

Helpful tip: For the easiest application have the subject sit in a comfortable position with arms at their sides.

Before you begin your SpiderTech, One-Piece, Shoulder Pre-Cut Tape application, bend and snap all the perforations on the back of the tape.

Step 1: Remove tab number 1 and apply the section where the upper arm becomes the shoulder.

Rub to activate the adhesive.

Step 2: Have the subject place their hand behind their back with their palm facing away from them.

Remove tab number 2 and apply the section across the top of their shoulder, finishing on the upper, inside border of their shoulder blade.

Rub to activate the adhesive.

Step 3: Maintain the same hand position and apply section number 3 down the inner border of their shoulder blade.

Step 4: Have the subjects bring their arm across their body, resting their hand on the opposite shoulder.

Remove tab number 4 and apply the section to the skin.

Step 5: Have the subject straighten their arm and place it behind their body with palm facing forward.

Remove tab number 5 and apply the section to the side of their arm.

Step 6: Maintain the same arm position and apply section number 6 to the front of their arm.

Step 7: Have the subject straighten their arm and raise it in front of their body.

Remove tab number 7 and apply the section to the side of their arm.

Step 8: Have the subject raise their arm overhead and fully bend their elbow.

Remove tab number 8 and apply the section to the back of their arm.

Step 9: Bring the subject’s arm back to a relaxed resting position. TAKE YOUR TIME and gently rub the tape from the middle out to the ends to activate the adhesive.

Now you’re ready to go.
