CARLA DA MILANO
For me its all about the music….really good music….The Band
RIP Levon. Your music will always be remembered!
INCREDIBLE…I am a happy woman!
Levon's book did not really trash Robbie. Just said some obvious truths. 1. Liked only his name on any and all compositions the band put together. Obviously he wrote most, but some more had to be worked on by others in the band (who could have used the money). 2. The Band was retiring from the road only and were supposed to continue to record etc. Well, they did continue, but where was Robbie? Snorting coke with Scorcese and making bank off publishing royalties. So poor Robbie!
some really sweeeet old stuff—-thanx
awesome footage

I was there! that was a great show. Last encore was "I shall be released" with the Cate Brothers band onstage and everybody trading vocals.
I found out recently that Earl and Ernie Cate were asked to join the Hawks, by levon and Robbie, in 1961. they declined because they were too young. Richard Manuel came down from Canada instead. It was no accident that these were the guys that they called when they first went back out without Robbie, there was a longtime connection.
Earl Cate rocking the guitar!
the guitar earl cate is playing is a 53' tele. my dad sold him a 54' identical to it in 1980 when the cate brothers where a fayettville band.
I agree with BrawnYawr's comment, I to love Robbie's music, but the Band was a very special group of musicians with so much talent , it is a shame that the rest of the Band members did not get the recognition that they so rightfully deserve…
