Southern Pecan Pie!! – Homemade Pecan Pie Recipe
Learn how to make homemade southern pecan pie! Uber sweet and loaded with pecans, this is sure to be a favorite on holidays and at family get togethers. And best of all, it's super easy to make!
What you'll need:
4 large eggs
1 cup butter flavored pancake syrup
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
4 Tbsp butter, melted
1 Tbsp flour
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 cup pecan halves
9" pastry pie crust
In a large bowl, combine eggs, pancake syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, flour and chopped pecans. Whisk until smooth. Pour into unbaked 9" pastry pie crust. Bake in a preheated 350*F oven for 45-55 minutes or until the center is just set. Watch the last 10 minutes of cooking to make sure pecans and pie don't brown too much and burn. If it's getting dark, tent the pie with a piece of aluminum foil and continue baking until center is just set. When done, remove from oven and let cool for 30 minutes to an hour. Slice and enjoy!
