i've made this recipe b4 and i can tell u it's delicious!; the cream cheese makes it a thicker mix and it stands up like a cake without the cake in it. it's very good. i use a small box of instant vanilla and banana cream pudding. this is the only one i make and my 'go to' recipe for banana pudding.

I'm a little surprised to find this Allrecipes channel uses instant pudding mix.
I make it in a tall bowl and try to get as many layers of wafers as I can. I like more wafers and less pudding. Specially once the cookies soften up!!!!

I don't get the hate. This tastes better than a cooked custard in my opinion.
I made this recipe today and it came out really well actually. I read some of the reviews on the website and reduced the quantity of condensed milk and fresh milk. My pudding mixture wasn't runny and it set perfectly. This recipe is so easy to put together especially on those days when you don't have much time to prepare everything from scratch. I didn't add the whipped cream to the pudding mixture, just added a bit on the top.
