How long should it sit before cutting into it, I made this and guess I didn't wait for it to set, only waited an hour and it was still hot and it was still liquid in the center, not an appetizing look but it sure was tasty. Just wondering if the pie has to sit for hours to really firm up?

The crust for pie is a frozen pie shell and mine all fell apart,so do I have to re-roll it and re-freeze it to use? I never checked to see if shell has to be baked first?

Sue B says:

If I re-roll the dough does it have to be refrozen again before finishing the recipe?

Sue B says:

Can you use frozen blueberries instead? And my pie shells all broke in the freezer so I'm defrosting them and going to attempt to re-roll them out after.

Those are great substitutions! Please let us know how the pie turns out for you. We'd recommend quartering strawberries if they are large, or slicing them in half.

pkmnan00bis says:

They didn't make the pie crust. It's a premade frozen crust.

Frozen blueberries will work, but DON'T thaw them. The frozen berries will bake fine and won't come out soggy like thawed one would. Just drop them in the pan when the custard and topping are ready. You don't have to rinse them, either.
