I just re watched this so I can weave the crust of a mince meat pie tomorrow for Christmas Eve. And I haven't weaved a pie since the pie I made 4 years ago when I made my last comment for this video.
I love peach pie…omg with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I love you John. Whe nsprinkling on sugar also sprinkle on corn starch so you don't get the watery pie effect. can't you do it by laying two wtrips perpendicular to each other and then the next two etc? another wonderful woman's take on biscuits, peach jam and butter π
This looks amazing, except in the final product your bottom crust looks nonexistent. Iβd employ any one of the various methods available to ensure a more subtantial bottom crust; otherwise you basically have a pan-dowdy.

I froze 10 lbs of fresh peaches- could I use the frozen ones instead of fresh?
I made this yesterday for a party and got a lot of compliments. The crust came out flaky and buttery. I had to pour out some of the syrup during baking though because it was too watery and flowing over the edge of the pie. After I did that, it came out beautifully, with just the right amount of fruit and syrup. It was delicious!
