PECAN PIE RECIPE

Preheat oven to 425 F.

1 – 9″ pie crust, unbaked

1 cup pecans, broken
1 cup corn syrup
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 cup butter, melted
2/3 cup light brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Add eggs to medium mixing bowl and slightly beat with whisk. Add brown sugar and corn syrup. Combine well. Add melted butter, salt and vanilla. Whisk well. With wooden spoon stir in pecan pieces.

Place unbaked pie shell on baking sheet. Add Pecan Pie filling to pie crust.

Bake at 425 degrees F. for 10 minutes. Reduce oven, do not open oven door, to 350 degrees F. and bake an additional 25-35 minutes.

Cool on racks for 2-3 hours before serving. This Pecan Pie can be made 1 day in advance and stored in an airtight container.

I'm from Tennessee. Most of us say pe cons and some say pecans. I think it depends on the individual.

Uh it wasn’t done your suppose to cook it till it stops jiggling. Also to much salt and only 3 eggs. Also I store bought crust works just as well also pecan halves are great. Also we do not say pee can in the south.
