บ้านสร้างถ่อใน ต.สร้างถ่อน้อย อ.หัวตะพาน จ.อำนาจเจริญ ชาวบ้านที่นี่มีวิถีชีวิตเกี่ยวพันกับเชื้อเพลิงชนิดหนึ่งที่เรียกว่า “ขี้ไต้” หรือภาษาท้องถิ่นเรียกว่า “ขี้กระบอง” ในสมัยก่อนยุคที่ไม่มีไฟฟ้าใช้นั้น ขี้ไต้เป็นสิ่งที่จำเป็นมากในหมู่บ้าน ชาวบ้านสามารถทำใช้เองได้เพราะที่นี่มีต้นยางนาที่ให้น้ำมัน และมีต้นไม้อื่นอีกมากมายที่สามารถหามาผสมเพื่อทำขี้ไต้ได้ วิธีทำเริ่มแรกต้องไปหา “น้ำมันยาง” ซึ่งต้องจุดเผาต้นยางตามที่เจาะเอาไว้ ทิ้งไว้ 2 – 3 วันก็จะได้น้ำมัน เอาน้ำมันนั้นมาผสมกับเปลือกต้นพะยอมแห้ง ซึ่งไปหามาจากป่า เช่นเดียวกับใบตองชาดที่ใช้เอามาห่อ ก็เก็บจากข้างบ้านหรือในป่าบ้าง ซึ่งต้นยางทุกต้นที่ชาวบ้านเข้าไปเอาน้ำมันยางนั้นจะได้รับอนุญาตจากเจ้าของต้นยาง บางคนก็ซื้อน้ำมันยาง บางคนก็จ่ายเป็นขี้ไต้หลังจากทำเสร็จ ปัจจุบันหลายคนในหมู่บ้านสามารถทำรายได้จากการขาย “ขี้ไต้” อย่างเช่น “ยายหนูเจียม” วัย 78 ปี เซียนทำขี้ไต้ระดับตำนาน บอกว่า หากขายไม่ได้ก็ทำใช้เอง เพราะว่าไม่ต้องเสียเงินซื้อ และทุกวันนี้ก็ยังใช้ “ขี้ไต้” ในการหุงอาหาร วันไหนไฟฟ้าดับก็ไม่เดือดร้อน เพราะจุดขี้ไต้ก็สว่างทั้งบ้าน ติดตามเรื่องราววิถีชีวิตแบบบ้าน ๆ แต่สร้างความสุขบนความพออยู่พอกินในรายการซีรีส์วิถีคน วันจันทร์ที่ 23 ธันวาคม 2562 เวลา 21.45 – 22.15 น. …
